Parasite‘s Tune Kang-ho is ready to star in Uncle Samsik, Disney+’s bold interval drama from Korean writer-director Shin Yeon-shick.
Set in Nineteen Sixties Korea, a time of nice social and political upheaval, Uncle Samsik tells the story of a younger idealist man who’s pushed to show his nation’s fortunes round. The person attracts the eye of a shady fixer, who adapts to any state of affairs and takes no matter steps obligatory to assist him accomplish his boss’ objectives.
Tune will play the fixer Pak Doochill/Uncle Samsik, and Byun Yohan (Mr. Sunshine, Six Flying Dragons) with the idealistic Kim San.
Written and directed by Shin, the collection is notable for being the filmmaker’s first tv challenge, in addition to Tune’s first look in a drama collection. The pair labored collectively on Shin’s volleyball drama One Win and his black comedy Cobweb, each of which have been launched in 2023.
