Youth Lagoon has shared a brand new tune, “Soccer.” Trevor Powers’ new single, produced by Rodaidh McDonald, will get launched as a limited-edition 7″ and comes with a video directed by Caleb Halter. Watch it under.
Powers stated of the tune in a press release: “‘Soccer’ can be a celebration of failure. Society has a horrible behavior of solely recognizing achievement whereas glossing over the greatness within the shadows. We’re so distracted attempting to earn love, value and worth that we neglect it’s one thing we inherently have already got. I needed to play with this concept via the lens of sports activities ‘cuz, in a variety of methods, sports activities are the truest faith.”
After an eight-year hiatus from the undertaking, Powers launched his most up-to-date Youth Lagoon album, Heaven Is a Junkyard, in 2023.
