“Elton John – Philadelphia Freedom (Central Park 1980)”


“Philadelphia Freedom” is a tune launched by The Elton John Band as a single in 1975. The tune was one in all Elton John’s seven #1 US hits through the early and mid-Seventies, which noticed his recordings dominating the charts. In Canada, it was his eighth single to hit the highest of the RPM nationwide singles chart.

The tune was written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin as a favour to John’s pal, tennis star Billie Jean King. King was a part of the Philadelphia Freedoms skilled tennis staff. The tune options an orchestral association by Gene Web page, together with flutes, horns, and strings.

The tune made its album debut on 1977’s Elton John’s Biggest Hits Quantity II. The Unedited model (with out an early fade out) seems solely on the field set To Be Continued…. and the remaster for Goodbye Yellow Brick Highway.
