WHEN YOU’RE YOUNG AND IN LOVE – The Marvelettes


“When You’re Younger and in Love” is a tune composed by Van McCoy which first grew to become a Prime 40 hit single for the Marvelettes in 1967: a remake by the Flying Pickets would attain the UK Prime Ten in 1984.

The tune was coated in 1967 by the Marvelettes with the monitor – produced by James Dean and William Weatherspoon – reaching #23 on the Scorching 100 that June; its R&B peak was #9. Though not one of many Marvelettes’ very greatest US hits, “When You’re Younger and in Love” grew to become the one file by the group to realize hit standing within the UK with a #13 peak in July 1967.
