Patrice Louise Rushen
(born September 30, 1954) is an American composer, file producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, music director and vocalist. Her 1982 single, “Overlook Me Nots“, obtained a Grammy Award nomination for Finest Feminine R&B Vocal Efficiency. Rushen had nice success on the R&B and dance charts, however “Overlook Me Nots” was her solely track to crack the High 40 pop chart.
