Netflix has dropped its first key artwork and a number of other new photos for Supersex, the hotly-anticipated biographical collection on Italian porn star Rocco Siffredi, aka “Buttman.”
Alessandro Borghi, star of Netflix’s mafia drama collection Suburra and 2022 Cannes jury prize winner The Eight Mountains, performs Rocco within the fictionalized tackle the porn actor’s life. The 7-episode collection, created and written by Francesca Manieri, and by Lorenzo Mieli for Fremantle-owned The Residence and by Matteo Rovere for Banijay’s Groenlandia, will bow on Netflix worldwide on March 6, 2024. Matteo Rovere, Francesco Carrozzini and Francesca Mazzoleni are directing.
Netflix has mentioned the collection is “freely impressed” by Siffredi’s life and profession, in addition to from direct testimony from Siffredi. Supersex plans to inform the soup-to-nuts story of Rocco from his childhood and household origins by his “relationship with love” that led him to pursue a profession in porn.
Jasmine Trinca performs Lucia, a fictional feminine character who represents a synthesis of most of the ladies Rocco had relationships with in actual life. Adriano Giannini performs Tommaso, Rocco’s half-brother, Saul Nanni performs Rocco as a younger man. Different solid members embody Enrico Borello (Gabriele), Vincenzo Nemolato (Riccardo Schicchi), Gaia Messerklinger (Moana), Jade Pedri (Sylvie) and Linda Caridi (Tina).
