As of now, no formal FIR has been filed, though the complainant seeks motion below sections 295(A), 298, 500, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The person, represented by attorneys Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra, claims that the video depicts Ranbir pouring liquor on a cake whereas saying “Jai Mata Di,” which, in accordance with Hindu practices, holds significance when invoking deities.
